Running an event or events smoothly

Ensuring your event runs safely, smoothly, and seamlessly involves much more than just showing up on the day to provide mechanical support. First, routes must be planned, ridden, and assessed for risks, then submitted for local approval. Athletes require both medical and mechanical support, along with feed stations and sweeper vehicles. Venues must be selected, spectator control organized, and routes clearly marked. There’s a lot to manage!

In addition to training the best mechanics in the industry, we maintain an informal network of Bike Inn graduates. We can call on them to help with event support at various locations throughout the year. This allows us to offer consistent, year-round services. Our event clients receive professional care, while our top trainers remain available to keep the school running.

All our mechanics complete annual CPD and work in our in-house workshop: www.helmwind.co.uk.

Event Support

Here at the Bike Inn we are able to offer you our combined experience and skill in the planning and organising of your sportive event. Our staff members are all experienced providers of cyclist support services, and fully understand the needs and requirements of cyclists and organisers alike.

We can arrange everything or any of the following elements for your event:

  • Route planning – including multiple distances in a single event if required
  • Route marking
  • Feed stations
  • Sweeper vehicles
  • Mechanical support
  • First aid support
  • On-the-day logistics
  • Pre event and rider administration
  • Online booking services
  • Provision of way markers, banners and other visual materials
  • Event promotion and marketing – including press releases and articles
  • Integrated social media, website and email blast services

We tailor our services to your needs.

Since no two events are the same, we customize our services to fit your needs and goals. Pricing depends on the resources required, and we always work within your budget.

To start, reach out with a brief outline of the services you need. We’ll arrange a free consultation to discuss your event in more detail and clarify expectations. This can be done virtually, by phone, or in person.

After the consultation, we’ll prepare an event specification and a general cost estimate. If our proposal meets your needs, we’ll move forward with detailed planning.

Additionally, we offer staff training in cycle mechanics through both our bespoke and qualification courses.

What our clients say

I am enjoying the Bike Inn course. The work is taught very well by Jon on the videos and he makes sure that all the key points and correct techniques are shown which is brilliant for a mostly virtual course.

The course is laid out so that I can compete for units in order of my choosing, so as I progress with my training at work and through the study materials provided by the Bike Inn, I can compete for the units in order of the training scheme in my place of work. The tutors are also very easily contacted and are very fast to respond if I need to contact them for any help.
