Our key staff members here at the Bike Inn have a vast collective experience of planning, organising, attending, competing in, and supporting cycling events, sportives and charity rides. This means that we can offer you a comprehensive Event Planning and Support Service to help you create the event you are visualising. Ensuring your event runs safely, smoothly and seamlessly takes a whole lot more than just turning up on the day to provide mechanical support. Routes need to be planned, ridden, risk assessed and submitted for local approval; athletes need to be catered for in terms of medical as well as mechanical support, feed stations and sweeper vehicles; venues need to be selected, spectator control implemented, routes marked... there are countless things to organise!
Not only do we train the best mechanics in the industry, we also keep an informal network of Bike Inn graduates that we can call on to assist us when we provide support services at various events and locations. This enables us to offer year round support services, knowing that our event clients are professionally looked after, whilst the school continues to run with our top trainers still available to teach.
We don't just limit our services to high profile / large number events - we can also arrange for small groups and individuals to realise their own personal challenges or tours either here in the UK or abroad.
Our Event Support Services
Here at the Bike Inn we are able to offer you our combined experience and skill in the planning and organising of your sportive event. Our staff members are all experienced providers of cyclist support services, and fully understand the needs and requirements of cyclists and organisers alike.
We can arrange everything or any of the following elements for your event:
- Route planning – including multiple distances in a single event if required
- Route marking
- Feed stations
- Sweeper vehicles
- Mechanical support
- First aid support
- On-the-day logistics
- Pre event and rider administration
- Online booking services
- Provision of way markers, banners and other visual materials
- Event promotion and marketing – including press releases and articles
- Integrated social media, website and email blast services
As no two events are ever the same we do this on a bespoke basis – we tailor our services to your needs and remit. Pricing is dependent upon resources required, and we work to your budget.
The first step is to get in contact with a brief outline of the services you are looking for and we can arrange a (free of charge) consultation session so that we can discuss the proposed event in more detail and both get an understanding of what is expected. This can be virtual, face to face or by telephone.
Following this we will prepare an event specification and broad estimate of costs – if you like what we can offer you then we can move forward with more detailed planning.
With our bespoke tours, you can explore anywhere within reason, from Scotland and Wales to Europe all on two wheels. We offer bespoke packages with different levels of support. Our tours are available in two forms, unsupported or fully supported
Unsupported you receive an information Pack on top of all the usual necessary paperwork like flight plans, accommodation, transfers etc. The information Pack is your itinerary including details of points of interest around your route.
Fully supported includes all that is in the unsupported tours and opens your trip up to having fully city & guilds/IMI qualified bike mechanics sourced through The Bike Inn, the best globally for professionally tutored technicians. Ride leaders some of whom are current/past professional or extremely experienced riders, support vehicles Including full first aid and mechanical facilities and the list goes on. We can scale your trip to however you wish it to be, after all it is your experience not ours.

Arranged on a bespoke basis, we book you into a spa hotel with at least a gym and a descent sized pool. You also get the following
- Coaches associated with your sport, whether it be cycling, running, swimming or all three.
- Technicians to help make any repairs or changes necessary including complete bike fits.
- Sports massage therapists to help with recovery and those niggling little pains.
- Yoga teachers to help with flexibility and mental fitness.
- Personal trainers who work closely with the coaches to push you to your limits.
- Anything else you may wish to have there to help in your development.
