GT Krush Tunap started their race season at Vuelta CV Feminas, a 91km race that was predicted to end with a sprint finish. With this in mind, the team controlled the race keeping the pace high averaging a fast 41 kilometers per hour. A few riders tried their luck at attacking but nothing got away. In the closing kilometers, the rides formed a lead-out train for their sprinter of the day, however, disaster struck only meters from the line when three front riders crashed pushing GT Krush’s sprinter into the barriers, a very impressive safe to stay upright! Due to the crash 3/4th of the peloton had to stop or slow.
The team has now completed their training camp in Calpe, Spain, and will next be racing in a rather cooler climate in Belgium at the end of the month where the riders will face cobbles and likley rain and wind!
